Grunge Couture

When we were deciding how to style Elle for the Paul Larkins shoot we considered doing something more couture-based and aiming for a glamorous look. these images of Morgane Dubled for French Vogue are what i would have wanted to aim for in terms of recreation. they are absolutely gorgeous and capture the exact idea of couture with a scruffy edge. i think that if we had used this form of styling the fact that it was on location would have automatically given it a more grungey feel. being in a studio, this shoot taken for May 2009 may have needed a more rugged collection of garments in order to portray the theme.
either way i love it. Dubled looks fantastic and the mood of the images is unlike amany other couture shoots i have seen to date.
