Art and Fashion and Fashion and Art

Allie Rizzo models for photographer Man Sumarni in the most recent issue of FN Magazine. I love the loft location and the use of artwork and tarnished, worn out furniture. The intro image was very close to being my image of the day, however the rest of the shoot was too good not to post. I love the images as a group and like a recent post I did involving artwork in a fashion shoot, I feel like this expresses the connection between the two subject matters. Basing the tones, lighting and aura of the shoot around the artwork present has given this editorial a meaning and a purpose deeper than showcasing new season boots and knitwear. Granted, this one hasn't had the same impression on me as the Jana Wirth by Michael Donovan creation that I blogged recently but the theme is similar. To me this one is less natural and more about the clothing than Donovans shoot.

Art and Fashion in one. I love it. And I'm absorbed with the idea of the connection between the two. Plans are evolving...
