As previously mentioned, a big trend in Spring 2011 in fashion is Punk. This shoot I came across in Vogue Australia epitomises what I was saying about less is more in this instance. Whilst its immediately obvious that the general aura around the shoot is grungy and cool, it starts off more structured and more seemingly inspired by the harsh lines and graphic illusions of the suit trend that was also seen on the runways this season. Transition into Punk happens subtly as the shoot continues, with the addition of a studded belt developing into lipstick on the mirror and wide shoulder pad leather jackets. The collaboration of the two trends works perfectly in this instance and I love it. This is a take on Punk that I could learn to love - HELL i might go as far as to say I already do!
