Fashion + Dance = Dream

Fashion and Dance collaborated brings together two of my passions. The costume side of any theatrical performance is always something that I take an interest in so when I came across this image of Kate Moss in a tutu I couldn't reisit posting it. I have since found out that in 2009, Karl Lagerfeld designed a Chanel tutu for ballerina Elena Glurdjidze to wear in The Dying Swan. Lagerfeld’s design took three seamstresses over 100 hours to create and used 2500 feathers. The tutus in question won’t actually be worn during any performances, instead being showcased through a catwalk show where guests can bid for them in a silent auction using iPads supplied by the event.
