I lowered the tone by bartering for my bus fare. Sorry Matthew.

SO last thursday the ever-busy duo that is Sedge and Sarah hit the M1 for yet ANOTHER road trip, this time to London to see the Matthew Williamson trunk show in his Mayfair store. We got a cheeky sneak preview of the autumn/ winter 2010 collection and thought it was simply faaaabulous darling.
Colours were a mixture of firey, autumnal colours and royal to navy blues, both classic to previous a/w seasons that we are used to seeing and sure to be a winner. loyal matthew williamson clients wont be disappointed with the designs as it truely is conforming to his statement style. pattern is incorporated here and there but block colour makes a stronger statement. the pieces that stood out to me were the johdpur-style trousers and the long sleeved structured dress covered in sequins, clearly proving that the glamorous glittering look is here to stay for a while to come. there were a lot of one shoulder pieces that proved striking and the collection involved a range of fabric weights and texture juxtoposing heavy woolen cape with lightweight silk evening dresses. all in all the pieces ticked all the boxes created by matthew williamson himself.

the night was incredible and the hosts fantastic. thank you to the matthew williamson mayfair store for providing us with a really spcial evening! a true insight into the fashion industry an events within it!
