LOVE magazine is bang on when it comes to cutting edge fashion and innovative features. Issue 3 has not failed to impress me and capture my attention, and ironically the feature i havchose to blog doesnt even feature any clothing! It raises the question as to whether the imagery can actually be classed as fashion photgraphs, an issue i discussed within mydesign and visual culture dissertation. if all contributers to the image are influential within the fashion industry does that instantl deem the photograph as a fashion representation?
this editorial for example features a range of highly recognisable suermodel faces (and bodies) and were taken by established fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. its fronting the highlyfashin-forward magazine publication yet does not advertise any clothing at all. controversial though it may be it certainly caught my eye and i think that the images, whilst being totally overt and in your face, present strong, confident women and work as a striking and effective selection of images.
who would youput as the cover..? personally i could kill for a bod like natalia!
