Little Joe Woman feat. Yasmin Le Bon #RAFW Tuesday 12pm
Little Joe Woman presented a wearable and quite casual collection, accessorised with chunky statement jewellery. The evening wear section was tailored and mostly black and once again the cut out trend was present on the catwalk of the OPT. Daywear was much more boho and carefree and the music was beachy and loud, creating an element of fun. Models wore jersey dresses, leopard print maxi’s, cotton drill shorts and feminine prints - all very marketable pieces. The models had long tousled hair and smoky makeup, a classic, but always gorgeous look. Personally I found little consistency within the collection although the jewellery options linked together effectively. Perhaps the aim was to create a versatile, one-stop shop collection for buyers, whether it be day or evening wear, casual or a bit smarter.. I think this will sell well and it was fun to watch, especially as the designers came out at the end and joined the models, almost Victoria Secret style!
The talking point of the show had to be the presence of Yasmin Le Bon. As a close friend to the designer this may have been expected by some, but it certainly filled seats as the theatre was packed and the models appearance on the runway remained a talking point throughout the week. Below is my photo of the media mayhem before the show...FRENZY!
