I was lucky enough to go to see Hairspray the musical at Star City a few weeks back. It was one of those completely random events and started with a few casual Sunday drinks at the Beresford in Surry Hills. We went with friends and met up with friends of thiers. They happened to have spare tickets - winning - and for free - again, winning.
I love going to see a musical and this one was certainly a feel good, spring in you step end to the weekend. The singing was beautiful and the dancing lively. I wouldnt say its up there with my top theatre performances as it was a little pantomimey for me but it was a lovely evening all the same and so kind of Helen to invite us along! Theatre in Sydney...check!
