‘It was a decadent, glamorous, ornate, classic journey.’ Danielle for Issa London
I had the fantastic opportunity to work alongside JN Events and JN Productions for the London Fashion Week showcasing of Issa London's AW 2012 collection. This side of the fashion world is my dream and my ultimate goal. Working with an events company in this capacity is a true eye-opener and despite how many shows, launches and celebrations I participate in, I never get bored. The buzz and momentum behind this side of the industry means that there is never a dull moment and - despite what people might think - the jobs are often far less glamorous than they seem and require months of hard work, late nights, stressful meetings and COFFEE.
The show went exactly to plan, despite being slightly behind schedule - it's fashion, who ISN'T late? - and the models looked fantastic in the AW pieces. Key looks included exceedingly luxurious fur hats (think Moscow), paisley blue and red fabrics (think colour!) and beautiful green silk dresses (think 1920s) as well as kimono-style sweeping gowns (think Beijing). My ultimate favorite look being the floor length lace red gown shown below. Gloves accessorized the looks and shoes were in keeping with the colour scheme.
The front row played host to Tinie Tempah, Suki Waterhouse and Gemma Arterton.
A massive thank you to the JN Events team and I hope to see you soon!
