This week I have been working with IMG at Rosemount Australin Fashion Week.
Based in Circular Quay the event hosted 58 fashion shows in 5 days, 15 of which were offsite at a variety of locations. Designers are all Australian and the event is industry only, meaning I had an amazing experience and opportunity with my Access All Areas pass and working alongside the production team of the entire event at IMG. My week was a dream and I loved every minute of it, the long days included. It has only mde me more determined to become as involved as I possibly can with Fashion Events such as this.
The operation is enormous and takes a LOT of hard work, a LOT of time and a LOT of people working together so that it runs as smoothly as possible. Miro House plays a big role as a company, and Miro as a person also has a massive amoun to do with the seating in each and every how - something that every fashion events fan will appreciate the importance of.
There were 500 volunteers working on the event and 96 hairdressers. Redken and MAC were the official sponsors and Wildfire was the official resturant for VIPS. The Rosemount Bar was also host to VIP members only and was certainly THE place to be - the most prestigious and influential business minds in Australian fashion were all in attendance siping on Rosemount wine..and this area acted almost as an office for us working with IMG over the week. The pics dont do it justice, but the whole event was purely gorgeous.
I got to watch a huge amount of shows and plan to do a write up of my favorites from the week...so my blog is going to go crazy this week.
In summary, I had the most phenomenal week and am gutted its all over. Thank you so much to IMG for letting me be a part of it and delegating the specialist role!
Bring on Fashion Weekend next weekend!
